Dynamics CRM Proof of Concept

 

The Dynamics CRM platform is unique in its "customizability", and its emergence as the "XRM platform" makes it ideal for the development of virtually any line of business application.

One of the ways our customers can benefit from this is by taking advantage of our "Proof of Concept" (POC) service.  

What's in a Proof of Concept Engagement?

Our POC's are customizable to your specific requirements, but typically share some important characteristics:

  • They are limited to a very short term duration -- usually 3-5 days. This means our customers can control their budgets and limit risk.
  • They involve the delivery of real solutions to real problems. Deliverables are in the form of a "functional prototype": a working application, accessible to pilot users, incorporating a well-defined subset of your required application functionality.  
  • They are designed both to demonstrate the power of the XRM platform, and to collect feedback from the pilot users.

We document both the deliverables contained in the functional prototype, and recommendations for further enhancements. The recommendations are informed by pilot users' feedback, and are summarized in the final POC documentation.   

What can be Accomplished in a POC?

Most of our POCs leverage the platform's XRM capabilities, and involve the identification and development of key application functionality. But that's not the only thing we can do. Since the whole point of the POC concept is to demonstrate that we can use Dynamics CRM to meet your requirements, any critically important requirement is fair game. A few examples:

  • Demonstrate the productivity of Outlook-centric CRM, by configuring the Microsoft Outlook Client for your pilot users and showing you how to use it.
  • Migrate some of your sample data, so you can experience Dynamics CRM with your information and verify that your data can be migrated.
  • Identify a mission-critical work process and automate it using Dynamics CRM workflows.

And of course, training is baked into every POC, whether it's mentoring IT folks on how to customize the XRM platform, or teaching your sales team how to maximize productivity in the Outlook client.
